SPOTmail Update!!!!

You Can Read this Lesson Prep in a Hurry . . . but don't

It's a given we all live a hurried lifestyle because we live in a hurried world. It is what it is!
But is there any way to find personal calm in this hurried society? That is the topic of our video series this week. PLEASE HURRY IN TO BE IN YOUR SEATS.

See you Sunday,
Don

SPOTlunch is Coming

With the holidays upon us, it's hard to squeeze in SPOTlunch, but we're going to try next Sunday, November 15. This Sunday we'll be drawing for the location. You won't want to miss the fun and a chance to sit at a table with adults! Will it be a work-au-rant or a place where someone takes your order? Details to come!

CSM Parent Meeting Sunday

The Concord Student Ministries leadership team will be conducting one of its quarterly Parent Meeting on Sunday in the Rafters at noon. Jeremy and Sarah will be discussing upcoming activities and seeking your input.

If you have any questions or comments about CSM, the new Sunday and Wednesday format, or need information about upcoming activities, you won't want to miss this meeting!

Christmas is No Longer SPOTless

You asked for it, and now it's on the SPOT calendar - the first ever SPOT Christmas event. Plan on invading the Hurt's abode beginning at 1 p.m. on Sunday December 6. Be sure to wear something that looks good under a black light as Kevin promises a 70s theme for the event.
Plan on bringing your favorite appetizer and we'll share a little holiday spirit, hopefully without leaving new SPOTS on the carpet.

(ed. note. Kevin didn't promise a 70's theme...he just noted that his home's decor was from then. He has been informed by his wife that that is absolutely incorrect. It is early 80's. :))

College Care Packages

We'll be baking cookies on Saturday Nov. 21, beginning at 1 p.m. to fill the voids in the lives of many Concord College students. The SPOTchefs will be seeking to fill not only their tummies but that empty space in their mailboxes that can only truly be filled with packages from home.

Bring your dough (batter not dollars) and plan on a full afternoon of taste-testing as the SPOTclass again sponsors the College Care Package ministry. Over the next few weeks, we'll solicit the names of Concord's college students around the country so we can send them goodies just in time for final exams.

If you know of any students away at school, or have one or more yourself, please email their name and address information to Spotspot@gmx.com

Christmas Project

The SPOTclass is collecting items for the Missouri Baptist Children's Home in the festively decorated box in our classroom. If we fill the box, we'll find another one. A comprehensive list of the items the Children's Home is seeking is included on the new class blog. Check out www.thespotsspot.blogspot.com.

Prayer Requests

• A treatment strategy that works for Kevin Hurt
• Safe return for Concord ladies at the "Women of Faith" conference in Springfield, IL
• Planning and strategies to make the Christmas Show a more effective outreach tool
• Pastor and staff as they prepare for the holiday services
